Auction result misses estimated price range
In September 2018 a collector was able to acquire the work Sunday Drive, 2000 by Anna Gaskell for USD 6,875.00 (€ 5,915.51). This price was achieved in the auction Contemporary Art Online at Sothebys in New York and was even below the estimate range of USD 8,000.00 – 12,000.00 set by the auction house. Admittedly, works by Anna Gaskell have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Untitled #5 (Wonder Series) in May 2003 with an auction result of USD 33,460.00 (€ 28,437.87).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im September 2018 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Sunday Drive, 2000 von Anna Gaskell für USD 6.875,00 (€ 5.915,51) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Contemporary Art Online bei Sothebys in New York erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von USD 8.000,00 – 12.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Anna Gaskell auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Untitled #5 (Wonder Series) im Mai 2003 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 33.460,00 (€ 28.437,87).
