Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Ann Craven achieved an unexpectedly high price at Phillips in London in June last year. In the 20th Century & Contemporary Art Day Sale auction, the work Moon (Little Glowing Magenta Tree, Cushing), 2021 sold for GBP 52,920.00 (€ 61,477.99) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 20,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Ann Craven achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work I Wasn't Sorry, 2003 in May last year with an auction result of USD 680,400.00 (€ 634,050.88).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Ann Craven erzielte im Juni letzten Jahres bei Phillips in London einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion 20th Century & Contemporary Art Day Sale wurde die Arbeit Moon (Little Glowing Magenta Tree, Cushing), 2021 für GBP 52.920,00 (€ 61.477,99) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 20.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Ann Craven erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit I Wasn't Sorry, 2003 im Mai letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 680.400,00 (€ 634.050,88).
