Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In September 2011 Phillips in New York held the auction Under the Influence, which included this untitled work by Anj Smith. Here, the upper estimate of USD 15,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for USD 16,250.00 (€ 12,082.68). However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Anj Smith - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Garden II, which sold at auction in October 2020 for GBP 35,280.00 (€ 39,175.43).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im September 2011 führte Phillips in New York die Auktion Under the Influence durch, in der auch diese Arbeit ohne Titel von Anj Smith zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von USD 15.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für USD 16.250,00 (€ 12.082,68) einen neuen Besitzer. Für andere Arbeiten von Anj Smith mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Garden II beobachtet, die im Oktober 2020 für GBP 35.280,00 (€ 39.175,43) versteigert wurde.
