Auction result well in line with expectations
The work New Dawn by Anj Smith was sold in the New Now auction at Phillips in New York in September last year. The price achieved of USD 12,600.00 (€ 12,879.48) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 10,000.00 – 15,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Anj Smith - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Garden II, which sold at auction in October 2020 for GBP 35,280.00 (€ 39,175.43).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit New Dawn von Anj Smith wurde im September letzten Jahres in der Auktion New Now bei Phillips in New York versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 12.600,00 (€ 12.879,48) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 10.000,00 – 15.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Anj Smith mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Garden II beobachtet, die im Oktober 2020 für GBP 35.280,00 (€ 39.175,43) versteigert wurde.
