Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Token by Anj Smith was sold in the Post-War and Contemporary ArtDay Auction auction at Christies in London in February 2011. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 20,000.00 – 30,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 22,500.00 (€ 26,503.12) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Other works by Anj Smith have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in October 2020 the work Garden II was auctioned for GBP 35,280.00 (€ 39,175.43).
