Two silver prints, printed later, dry-mounted to card. Each signed, titled and dated in white ink in the lower margin, and annotated in black felt tip pen with the photographer's copyright stamp on the reverse. With an example of the British 31 pence stamp based upon the image of Leigh, issued in 1985, affixed to the mount under the print of her
images: 43.8 by 34.4cm.; 17¼ by 13½in.;

Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Audrey Hepburn, 1949 Vivien Leigh, 1938 by Angus McBean was sold in the Made in Britain auction at Sothebys in London in April 2017. The price achieved of GBP 2,500.00 (€ 2,968.79) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 2,000.00 – 3,000.00. Admittedly, works by Angus McBean have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Audrey Hepburn, 1951 in September 2019 with an auction result of GBP 16,250.00 (€ 18,336.20).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Audrey Hepburn, 1949 Vivien Leigh, 1938 von Angus McBean wurde im April 2017 in der Auktion Made in Britain bei Sothebys in London versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 2.500,00 (€ 2.968,79) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 2.000,00 – 3.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Angus McBean auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Audrey Hepburn, 1951 im September 2019 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 16.250,00 (€ 18.336,20).
