Auction result well in line with expectations
In March 2016 Sothebys in London held the auction Made in Britain, which included the work Darling, I Think We Must Be In Battersea Park, 1948 by Angus McBean. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 3,000.00 – 5,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 3,500.00 (€ 4,419.10) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by Angus McBean have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Audrey Hepburn, 1951 in September 2019 with an auction result of GBP 16,250.00 (€ 18,336.20).
