Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Christmas Card, 1957 by Angus McBean was auctioned at Sothebys in London in March 2018. The price achieved of GBP 1,875.00 (€ 2,134.79) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 1,500.00 – 2,500.00. Admittedly, works by Angus McBean have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Audrey Hepburn, 1951 in September 2019 with an auction result of GBP 16,250.00 (€ 18,336.20).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Christmas Card, 1957 von Angus McBean kam im März 2018 bei Sothebys in London zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 1.875,00 (€ 2.134,79) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 1.500,00 – 2.500,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Angus McBean auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Audrey Hepburn, 1951 im September 2019 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 16.250,00 (€ 18.336,20).
