This artwork by Andrew Masullo achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in New York in November last year. In the Post-War & Contemporary Art Day Sale auction, the work 3321.; 3317.; 2233.; 2415 Four Works sold for USD 13,860.00 (€ 13,426.33) - well above the upper estimate of USD 7,000.00. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Andrew Masullo; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot 1847; 1851; 1855; 1880; 2173 [Five Works|AID700456] sold at auction in May last year with the realized price of USD 27,720.00 (€ 25,831.70).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 98 % übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Andrew Masullo erzielte im November letzten Jahres bei Christies in New York einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Post-War & Contemporary Art Day Sale wurde die Arbeit 3321.; 3317.; 2233.; 2415 Four Works für USD 13.860,00 (€ 13.426,33) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von USD 7.000,00. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von Andrew Masullo; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit 1847; 1851; 1855; 1880; 2173 [Five Works|AID700456] im Mai letzten Jahres mit dem Hammerpreis von USD 27.720,00 (€ 25.831,70).
