Auction result well in line with expectations
The work River by Amy Adler was sold in the Contemporary Art Online | New York auction at Sothebys in New York in July 2019. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 800.00 – 1,200.00, the actual price achieved of USD 875.00 (€ 786.16) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Amy Adler achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Mike in May 2003 with an auction result of USD 26,290.00 (€ 22,344.04).

Die Arbeit River von Amy Adler wurde im Juli 2019 in der Auktion Contemporary Art Online | New York bei Sothebys in New York versteigert. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 800,00 – 1.200,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 875,00 (€ 786,16) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Amy Adler erzielen.
