Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work Montmartre by Alphonse Quizet was auctioned at Christies in Paris in March 2011, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of EUR 800.00 – 1,200.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for EUR 500.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Alphonse Quizet achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Canal d'Aubervillier in February 2011 with an auction result of GBP 6,875.00 (€ 8,098.17).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Als die Arbeit Montmartre von Alphonse Quizet im März 2011 bei Christies in Paris versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von EUR 800,00 – 1.200,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für EUR 500,00 den Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Alphonse Quizet erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Canal d'Aubervillier im Februar 2011 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 6.875,00 (€ 8.098,17).
