Auction result misses estimated price range
In July 2020 a collector was able to acquire the work Untitled (Quality Drink) by Allen Ruppersberg for USD 1,875.00 (€ 1,592.49). This price was achieved in the auction Contemporary Art | New York at Sothebys in New York and was even below the estimate range of USD 2,000.00 – 3,000.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Allen Ruppersberg achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Paper Drive (For Claire) in June 2015 with an auction result of USD 57,500.00 (€ 51,551.01).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Juli 2020 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Untitled (Quality Drink) von Allen Ruppersberg für USD 1.875,00 (€ 1.592,49) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Contemporary Art | New York bei Sothebys in New York erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von USD 2.000,00 – 3.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Allen Ruppersberg erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Paper Drive (For Claire) im Juni 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 57.500,00 (€ 51.551,01).
