In the The Landscape of a Mind: A Private Collector's Surreal Vision auction, the work Heroic Portrait of Jack Kerouac, New York, 1953 sold for GBP 10,000.00 (€ 11,241.48) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 5,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Allen Ginsberg - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Selected images of Jack Kerouac, William Burroughs, Neal Cassady and Peter Orlovsky, 1953-1957, which sold at auction in October 2008 for USD 35,000.00 (€ 27,598.17).
