Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work El antílope y el cazador (Quién soy?) by Alice Rahon was auctioned at Sothebys in New York in June 2021, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of USD 30,000.00 – 40,000.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for USD 27,720.00 (€ 23,396.35). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Alice Rahon achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Los Cuatro Hijos Del Arco Iris in June 2020 with an auction result of USD 512,000.00 (€ 455,881.04).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Als die Arbeit El antílope y el cazador (Quién soy?) von Alice Rahon im Juni 2021 bei Sothebys in New York versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 30.000,00 – 40.000,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für USD 27.720,00 (€ 23.396,35) den Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Alice Rahon erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Los Cuatro Hijos Del Arco Iris im Juni 2020 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 512.000,00 (€ 455.881,04).
