This artwork by Alice Baber achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in New York in March 2019. In the Contemporary Art Online auction, the work Light Ladder sold for USD 2,125.00 (€ 1,892.59) - well above the upper estimate of USD 1,200.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Alice Baber achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work without title in November this year with an auction result of USD 95,250.00 (€ 87,321.23).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 77 % übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Alice Baber erzielte im März 2019 bei Sothebys in New York einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Contemporary Art Online wurde die Arbeit Light Ladder für USD 2.125,00 (€ 1.892,59) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von USD 1.200,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Alice Baber erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit ohne Titel im November diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 95.250,00 (€ 87.321,23).
