Auction result well in line with expectations
In May 2013 Christies in Hong Kong held the auction Asian Contemporary Art (Day Sale), which included the work Thanksgiving Prayer by Alfredo Esquillo, Jr.. The price achieved of HKD 62,500.00 (€ 6,198.03) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 50,000.00 – 70,000.00. Admittedly, works by Alfredo Esquillo, Jr. have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work The Clouds, Expecting; The Drama, Unfolding in October 2014 with an auction result of HKD 350,000.00 (€ 36,033.52).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Mai 2013 führte Christies in Hong Kong die Auktion Asian Contemporary Art (Day Sale) durch, in der auch die Arbeit Thanksgiving Prayer von Alfredo Esquillo, Jr. zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 62.500,00 (€ 6.198,03) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 50.000,00 – 70.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Alfredo Esquillo, Jr. auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit The Clouds, Expecting; The Drama, Unfolding im Oktober 2014 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 350.000,00 (€ 36.033,52).
