Auction result well in line with expectations
In May 2014 Christies in Hong Kong held the auction Asian Contemporary Art (Day Sale), which included the work Broken Piggy Bank (Basag na Alkansiya) by Alfredo Esquillo, Jr.. It changed hands for a price of HKD 175,000.00 (€ 16,550.59) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of HKD 140,000.00 – 180,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Alfredo Esquillo, Jr. - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work The Clouds, Expecting; The Drama, Unfolding, which sold at auction in October 2014 for HKD 350,000.00 (€ 36,033.52).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Mai 2014 führte Christies in Hong Kong die Auktion Asian Contemporary Art (Day Sale) durch, in der auch die Arbeit Broken Piggy Bank (Basag na Alkansiya) von Alfredo Esquillo, Jr. zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von HKD 175.000,00 (€ 16.550,59) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von HKD 140.000,00 – 180.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Alfredo Esquillo, Jr. mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit The Clouds, Expecting; The Drama, Unfolding beobachtet, die im Oktober 2014 für HKD 350.000,00 (€ 36.033,52) versteigert wurde.
