Auction result well in line with expectations
In April 2015 Sothebys in Hong Kong held the auction Modern & Contemporary Southeast Asian Art, which included the work Re-Birth by Alfredo Esquillo, Jr.. The price achieved of HKD 150,000.00 (€ 17,335.60) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 120,000.00 – 180,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Alfredo Esquillo, Jr. - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work The Clouds, Expecting; The Drama, Unfolding, which sold at auction in October 2014 for HKD 350,000.00 (€ 36,033.52).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im April 2015 führte Sothebys in Hong Kong die Auktion Modern & Contemporary Southeast Asian Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Re-Birth von Alfredo Esquillo, Jr. zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 150.000,00 (€ 17.335,60) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 120.000,00 – 180.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Alfredo Esquillo, Jr. mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit The Clouds, Expecting; The Drama, Unfolding beobachtet, die im Oktober 2014 für HKD 350.000,00 (€ 36.033,52) versteigert wurde.
