In the Modern & Contemporary Southeast Asian Paintings auction, the work The Artist In His Studio sold for HKD 175,000.00 (€ 17,421.67) - well above the upper estimate of HKD 90,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Alfredo Esquillo, Jr. - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work The Clouds, Expecting; The Drama, Unfolding, which sold at auction in October 2014 for HKD 350,000.00 (€ 36,033.52).
