Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Untitled (Diptych) by Alfredo Castañeda was sold in the Latin American Art auction at Sothebys in New York in May 2012. The price achieved of USD 31,250.00 (€ 25,274.99) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 25,000.00 – 35,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Alfredo Castañeda achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work La Nave (El Arca) in November 2006 with an auction result of USD 352,000.00 (€ 265,440.01).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Untitled (Diptych) von Alfredo Castañeda wurde im Mai 2012 in der Auktion Latin American Art bei Sothebys in New York versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 31.250,00 (€ 25.274,99) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 25.000,00 – 35.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Alfredo Castañeda erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit La Nave (El Arca) im November 2006 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 352.000,00 (€ 265.440,01).
