Auction result well in line with expectations
In March 2015 Christies in London held the auction Victorian, Pre Raphaelite & British Impressionist Art, which included the work The Grand Canal, Venice by Alfred Pollentine. The price achieved of GBP 2,375.00 (€ 3,283.56) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 2,000.00 – 3,000.00. Admittedly, works by Alfred Pollentine have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Santa Maria della Salute; and The Doge's Palace, Venice in June 2000 with an auction result of GBP 8,812.50 (€ 13,968.90).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im März 2015 führte Christies in London die Auktion Victorian, Pre Raphaelite & British Impressionist Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit The Grand Canal, Venice von Alfred Pollentine zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 2.375,00 (€ 3.283,56) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 2.000,00 – 3.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Alfred Pollentine auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Santa Maria della Salute; and The Doge's Palace, Venice im Juni 2000 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 8.812,50 (€ 13.968,90).
