Auction result well in line with expectations

The price achieved of GBP 1,280.00 (€ 1,483.24) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 1,000.00 – 1,500.00. Admittedly, works by Alfred Pollentine have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Santa Maria della Salute; and The Doge's Palace, Venice in June 2000 with an auction result of GBP 8,812.50 (€ 13,968.90).
