Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In March this year Bonhams held the auction British and European Art, which included the work 'The Grand Canal, Venice'; 'Santa Maria Della Salute, Venice', A Pair Each 25.4 X 30.5Cm (10 X 12In). (2) by Alfred Pollentine. Here, the upper estimate of GBP 1,800.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for GBP 1,912.50 (€ 2,175.84). Admittedly, works by Alfred Pollentine have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Santa Maria della Salute; and The Doge's Palace, Venice in June 2000 with an auction result of GBP 8,812.50 (€ 13,968.90).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im März diesen Jahres führte Bonhams die Auktion British and European Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit 'The Grand Canal, Venice'; 'Santa Maria Della Salute, Venice', A Pair Each 25.4 X 30.5Cm (10 X 12In). (2) von Alfred Pollentine zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von GBP 1.800,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für GBP 1.912,50 (€ 2.175,84) einen neuen Besitzer. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Alfred Pollentine auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Santa Maria della Salute; and The Doge's Palace, Venice im Juni 2000 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 8.812,50 (€ 13.968,90).
