Auction result well in line with expectations
The work The Grand Canal, Venice, with the Church of San Eustachius (Stae) by Alfred Pollentine was auctioned at Bonhams in London in December this year. The price achieved of GBP 3,200.00 (€ 3,686.28) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 2,500.00 – 3,500.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Alfred Pollentine - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Santa Maria della Salute; and The Doge's Palace, Venice, which sold at auction in June 2000 for GBP 8,812.50 (€ 13,968.90).

Die Arbeit The Grand Canal, Venice, with the Church of San Eustachius (Stae) von Alfred Pollentine kam im Dezember diesen Jahres bei Bonhams in London zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 3.200,00 (€ 3.686,28) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 2.500,00 – 3.500,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Alfred Pollentine mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Santa Maria della Salute; and The Doge's Palace, Venice beobachtet, die im Juni 2000 für GBP 8.812,50 (€ 13.968,90) versteigert wurde.
