This artwork by Alfred Pollentine achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in London in March 2012. In the Victorian & British Impressionist Art auction, the work The Ducal Palace, Venice sold for GBP 5,625.00 (€ 6,743.33) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 2,500.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Alfred Pollentine - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Santa Maria della Salute; and The Doge's Palace, Venice, which sold at auction in June 2000 for GBP 8,812.50 (€ 13,968.90).

Dieses Kunstwerk von Alfred Pollentine erzielte im März 2012 bei Christies in London einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Victorian & British Impressionist Art wurde die Arbeit The Ducal Palace, Venice für GBP 5.625,00 (€ 6.743,33) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 2.500,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Alfred Pollentine mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Santa Maria della Salute; and The Doge's Palace, Venice beobachtet, die im Juni 2000 für GBP 8.812,50 (€ 13.968,90) versteigert wurde.
