The work On the Dart; and On the Thames by Alfred H. Vickers was sold in the British and Victorian Pictures auction at Christies in London in November 2000. It achieved a price of GBP 1,645.00 (€ 2,688.69), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 37%. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Alfred H. Vickers - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work The ferry, which sold at auction in May 2003 for GBP 4,935.00 (€ 6,875.70).

Die Arbeit On the Dart; and On the Thames von Alfred H. Vickers wurde im November 2000 in der Auktion British and Victorian Pictures bei Christies in London versteigert. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von GBP 1.645,00 (€ 2.688,69) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 37%. Für andere Arbeiten von Alfred H. Vickers mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit The ferry beobachtet, die im Mai 2003 für GBP 4.935,00 (€ 6.875,70) versteigert wurde.
