In the BRITISH AND VICTORIAN PAINTINGS, INCLUDING SCOTTISH PICTURES auction, the work Landing a ferry; and Fisherman's tales changed hands for GBP 3,877.50 (€ 6,256.73) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 4,000.00 – 6,000.00. Other works by Alfred H. Vickers have also sold for higher prices; the highest price we have seen at auction so far was achieved in May 2003 by the work The ferry at GBP 4,935.00 (€ 6,875.70).
