In the Contemporary Part I and Part II auction, the work Marriage On The Rocks changed hands for USD 21,250.00 (€ 14,944.79) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 25,000.00 – 35,000.00. Other works by Alexis Smith have also sold for higher prices; the highest price we have seen at auction so far was achieved in November 2010 by the work Iron Sorrows at USD 27,500.00 (€ 21,095.43).
