The conference marked one of the first meetings between Joseph Stalin, FDR and Winston Churchill. Among its many achievements was the recognition of Iran's independence.

In the Russian Art auction, the work Russian The Meeting Of Franklin Delano Roosevelt And Shah Mohammad Reza Pahlavi Of Iran sold for USD 74,500.00 (€ 56,251.89) - well above the upper estimate of USD 40,000.00. Admittedly, works by Aleksandr Gerasimov have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Still Life With Roses in May 2012 with an auction result of GBP 361,250.00 (€ 450,101.61).
