Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Herd On The Collective Farm / Stalin And Voroshilov At The Kremlin by Aleksandr Gerasimov was auctioned at Sothebys in London in November 2017. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 80,000.00 – 120,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 81,250.00 (€ 92,230.84) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by Aleksandr Gerasimov have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Still Life With Roses in May 2012 with an auction result of GBP 361,250.00 (€ 450,101.61).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Herd On The Collective Farm / Stalin And Voroshilov At The Kremlin von Aleksandr Gerasimov kam im November 2017 bei Sothebys in London zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 80.000,00 – 120.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 81.250,00 (€ 92.230,84) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Aleksandr Gerasimov auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Still Life With Roses im Mai 2012 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 361.250,00 (€ 450.101,61).
