The work Barnett Newman by Alexander Liberman was auctioned at Bonhams in July this year. It achieved a price of USD 1,792.00 (€ 1,626.13), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 49%. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Alexander Liberman achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Solstice Vii in March 2017 with an auction result of USD 40,000.00 (€ 37,390.17).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 49 % übertroffen
Die Arbeit Barnett Newman von Alexander Liberman kam im Juli diesen Jahres bei Bonhams zur Auktion. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von USD 1.792,00 (€ 1.626,13) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 49%. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Alexander Liberman erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Solstice Vii im März 2017 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 40.000,00 (€ 37.390,17).
