Auction result well in line with expectations
In December this year Bonhams in New York held the auction The Gift of Photographs, which included the work 'Marlene Dietrich with her Grandchildren Michael and Peter, New York' by Alexander Liberman. The price achieved of USD 1,920.00 (€ 1,735.67) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 1,500.00 – 2,500.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Alexander Liberman achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Solstice Vii in March 2017 with an auction result of USD 40,000.00 (€ 37,390.17).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Dezember diesen Jahres führte Bonhams in New York die Auktion The Gift of Photographs durch, in der auch die Arbeit 'Marlene Dietrich with her Grandchildren Michael and Peter, New York' von Alexander Liberman zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 1.920,00 (€ 1.735,67) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 1.500,00 – 2.500,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Alexander Liberman erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Solstice Vii im März 2017 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 40.000,00 (€ 37.390,17).
