Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In April last year Phillips in New York held the auction Photographs, which included the work 2pm, Interstate 110 and Eye #6 (Sinkhole) from Compulsion by Alex Prager. Here, the upper estimate of USD 22,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for USD 23,940.00 (€ 22,719.94). However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Alex Prager - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Crowd #2 (Emma), which sold at auction in April 2015 for USD 75,000.00 (€ 67,192.26).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im April letzten Jahres führte Phillips in New York die Auktion Photographs durch, in der auch die Arbeit 2pm, Interstate 110 and Eye #6 (Sinkhole) from Compulsion von Alex Prager zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von USD 22.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für USD 23.940,00 (€ 22.719,94) einen neuen Besitzer. Für andere Arbeiten von Alex Prager mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Crowd #2 (Emma) beobachtet, die im April 2015 für USD 75.000,00 (€ 67.192,26) versteigert wurde.
