Auction result well in line with expectations
In May this year Phillips in London held the auction Photographs, which included the work Virginia by Alex Prager. It changed hands for a price of GBP 7,620.00 (€ 8,865.92) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of GBP 6,000.00 – 8,000.00. Admittedly, works by Alex Prager have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Crowd #2 (Emma) in April 2015 with an auction result of USD 75,000.00 (€ 67,192.26).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Mai diesen Jahres führte Phillips in London die Auktion Photographs durch, in der auch die Arbeit Virginia von Alex Prager zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von GBP 7.620,00 (€ 8.865,92) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 6.000,00 – 8.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Alex Prager auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Crowd #2 (Emma) im April 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 75.000,00 (€ 67.192,26).
