Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Desiree from The Big Valley by Alex Prager was auctioned at Phillips in New York in October this year. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 12,000.00 – 18,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 12,700.00 (€ 12,017.41) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by Alex Prager have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Crowd #2 (Emma) in April 2015 with an auction result of USD 75,000.00 (€ 67,192.26).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Desiree from The Big Valley von Alex Prager kam im Oktober diesen Jahres bei Phillips in New York zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 12.000,00 – 18.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 12.700,00 (€ 12.017,41) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Alex Prager auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Crowd #2 (Emma) im April 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 75.000,00 (€ 67.192,26).
