Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Alex Guofeng Cao; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Warhol Versus Mao, After Mapplethorpe, 2009 sold at auction in October 2012 with the realized price of USD 23,750.00 (€ 18,328.45).
