Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Jackie vs JFK II by Alex Guofeng Cao was sold in the Photographs Day Sale auction at Phillips in New York in April 2015. Here, the upper estimate of USD 9,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for USD 9,375.00 (€ 8,399.03). However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Alex Guofeng Cao - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Warhol Versus Mao, After Mapplethorpe, 2009, which sold at auction in October 2012 for USD 23,750.00 (€ 18,328.45).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Jackie vs JFK II von Alex Guofeng Cao wurde im April 2015 in der Auktion Photographs Day Sale bei Phillips in New York versteigert. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von USD 9.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für USD 9.375,00 (€ 8.399,03) einen neuen Besitzer. Für andere Arbeiten von Alex Guofeng Cao mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Warhol Versus Mao, After Mapplethorpe, 2009 beobachtet, die im Oktober 2012 für USD 23.750,00 (€ 18.328,45) versteigert wurde.
