A top price for Alberto Burri - as previously expected
In February 2016 Sothebys in London held the auction Contemporary Art Evening Auction, which included the work Sacco E Rosso by Alberto Burri. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 9,000,000.00 – 12,000,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 9,109,000.00 (€ 11,672,058.70) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Even if this result could not surprise positively, Sacco E Rosso is the most expensive artwork by Alberto Burri that we have observed at auctions so far.
Ein Spitzenpreis mit Ansage
Im Februar 2016 führte Sothebys in London die Auktion Contemporary Art Evening Auction durch, in der auch die Arbeit Sacco E Rosso von Alberto Burri zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 9.000.000,00 – 12.000.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 9.109.000,00 (€ 11.672.058,70) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Auch wenn das Ergebnis damit nicht positiv überraschen konnte, ist Sacco E Rosso das teuerste Kunstwerk von Alberto Burri, das wir bisher bei Auktionen beobachtet haben.
