Auction result misses estimated price range
In July 2017 a collector was able to acquire the work The Gilded Fan by Albert Joseph Moore for GBP 30,000.00 (€ 33,475.39). This price was achieved in the auction Victorian, Pre-Raphaelite & British Impressionist Art at Sothebys in London and was even below the estimate range of GBP 40,000.00 – 60,000.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Albert Joseph Moore achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Jasmine in June 2008 with an auction result of GBP 1,777,250.00 (€ 2,246,503.59).
