Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Albert Joseph Moore could be acquired at Sothebys in London in July 2017 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Victorian, Pre-Raphaelite & British Impressionist Art auction, the work Garnets changed hands for GBP 35,000.00 (€ 39,054.63) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 40,000.00 – 60,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Albert Joseph Moore achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Jasmine in June 2008 with an auction result of GBP 1,777,250.00 (€ 2,246,503.59).
