This artwork by Albert Joseph Moore achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in London in December 2017. In the Victorian Pre-Raphaelite & British Impressionist Art auction, the work Study For 'A Bather' sold for GBP 17,500.00 (€ 19,693.69) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 10,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Albert Joseph Moore achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Jasmine in June 2008 with an auction result of GBP 1,777,250.00 (€ 2,246,503.59).
