The work British topaz by Albert Joseph Moore was sold in the European Art auction at Sothebys in New York in May 2017. The »bidding war« ended at USD 1,152,500.00 (€ 1,025,720.90), 44% above the upper estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Albert Joseph Moore - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Jasmine, which sold at auction in June 2008 for GBP 1,777,250.00 (€ 2,246,503.59).

Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 1.152.500,00 (€ 1.025.720,90) und damit 44% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Für andere Arbeiten von Albert Joseph Moore mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Jasmine beobachtet, die im Juni 2008 für GBP 1.777.250,00 (€ 2.246.503,59) versteigert wurde.
