The work British topaz by Albert Joseph Moore was sold in the European Art auction at Sothebys in New York in May 2017. The »bidding war« ended at USD 1,152,500.00 (€ 1,025,720.90), 44% above the upper estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Albert Joseph Moore - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Jasmine, which sold at auction in June 2008 for GBP 1,777,250.00 (€ 2,246,503.59).

Die Arbeit British topaz von Albert Joseph Moore wurde im Mai 2017 in der Auktion European Art bei Sothebys in New York versteigert. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 1.152.500,00 (€ 1.025.720,90) und damit 44% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Für andere Arbeiten von Albert Joseph Moore mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Jasmine beobachtet, die im Juni 2008 für GBP 1.777.250,00 (€ 2.246.503,59) versteigert wurde.
