Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Transfer Ensoulment by Alan Saret was sold in the First Open Post-War and Contemporary Art auction at Christies in New York in September 2012. The price achieved of USD 3,750.00 (€ 2,916.93) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 3,000.00 – 5,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Alan Saret achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work without title in September last year with an auction result of USD 63,000.00 (€ 64,397.42).
