Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In October 2018 Christies in New York held the auction The Collection of Melva Bucksbaum: Post-War and Contemporary Art, Photographs and Prints, which included the work White Totem by Alain Kirili. Here, the upper estimate of USD 6,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for USD 6,875.00 (€ 6,066.89). Admittedly, works by Alain Kirili have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Commandement Xi in December 2017 with an auction result of EUR 31,250.00.
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im Oktober 2018 führte Christies in New York die Auktion The Collection of Melva Bucksbaum: Post-War and Contemporary Art, Photographs and Prints durch, in der auch die Arbeit White Totem von Alain Kirili zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von USD 6.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für USD 6.875,00 (€ 6.066,89) einen neuen Besitzer. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Alain Kirili auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Commandement Xi im Dezember 2017 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 31.250,00.
