Auction result well in line with expectations
In May 2021 Christies in New York held the auction Post-War & Contemporary Art Day Sale, which included this untitled work by Al Held. The price achieved of USD 25,000.00 (€ 20,501.89) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 20,000.00 – 30,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Al Held achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Compass Rose in November 2019 with an auction result of USD 312,500.00 (€ 283,601.05).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Mai 2021 führte Christies in New York die Auktion Post-War & Contemporary Art Day Sale durch, in der auch diese Arbeit ohne Titel von Al Held zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 25.000,00 (€ 20.501,89) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 20.000,00 – 30.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Al Held erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Compass Rose im November 2019 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 312.500,00 (€ 283.601,05).
