Auction result well in line with expectations
In November 2021 Sothebys in Milan held the auction Contemporary Art | Milan, which included the work La sera by Afro. The price achieved of EUR 35,280.00 was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as EUR 30,000.00 – 40,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Afro achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Porta Portese in November 2012 with an auction result of USD 938,500.00 (€ 721,368.18).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im November 2021 führte Sothebys in Mailand die Auktion Contemporary Art | Milan durch, in der auch die Arbeit La sera von Afro zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von EUR 35.280,00 lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit EUR 30.000,00 – 40.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Afro erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Porta Portese im November 2012 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 938.500,00 (€ 721.368,18).
