This artwork by Afro achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in Milan in May 2021. In the Reborn: Modern and Contemporary auction, the work Fiori Gialli sold for EUR 35,000.00 - well above the upper estimate of EUR 18,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Afro achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Porta Portese in November 2012 with an auction result of USD 938,500.00 (€ 721,368.18).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 94 % übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Afro erzielte im Mai 2021 bei Christies in Mailand einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Reborn: Modern and Contemporary wurde die Arbeit Fiori Gialli für EUR 35.000,00 versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von EUR 18.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Afro erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Porta Portese im November 2012 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 938.500,00 (€ 721.368,18).
