In March 2014 Christies in Dubai held the auction Modern & Contemporary Arab, Iranian & Turkish Art Including Masterpieces from The Pharos Art Collection & From The Maath Alousi Collection, which included this untitled work by Adham Wanly. The auction ended at the price of USD 25,000.00 (€ 18,146.19), which exactly corresponded to the upper end of the estimated price range of USD 20,000.00 – 25,000.00. Admittedly, works by Adham Wanly have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work The Kiss in April 2010 with an auction result of USD 146,500.00 (€ 110,133.81).
Zuschlag beim oberen Schätzpreis
Im März 2014 führte Christies in Dubai die Auktion Modern & Contemporary Arab, Iranian & Turkish Art Including Masterpieces from The Pharos Art Collection & From The Maath Alousi Collection durch, in der auch diese Arbeit ohne Titel von Adham Wanly zur Versteigerung kam. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von USD 25.000,00 (€ 18.146,19) entsprach exakt dem oberen Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 20.000,00 – 25.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Adham Wanly auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit The Kiss im April 2010 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 146.500,00 (€ 110.133,81).
