Auction result well in line with expectations
In November last year Bonhams in London held the auction Modern and Contemporary Middle Eastern Art including Baghdadiyat Part IIIThe Finale, which included the work British Commandos on the Corniche, Alexandria by Adham Wanly. It changed hands for a price of GBP 4,845.00 (€ 5,614.25) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of GBP 3,000.00 – 5,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Adham Wanly achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Kiss in April 2010 with an auction result of USD 146,500.00 (€ 110,133.81).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im November letzten Jahres führte Bonhams in London die Auktion Modern and Contemporary Middle Eastern Art including Baghdadiyat Part IIIThe Finale durch, in der auch die Arbeit British Commandos on the Corniche, Alexandria von Adham Wanly zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von GBP 4.845,00 (€ 5.614,25) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 3.000,00 – 5.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Adham Wanly erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit The Kiss im April 2010 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 146.500,00 (€ 110.133,81).
