Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Adam Styka achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in London in April 2017. In the The Orientalist Sale auction, the work Polish on The Banks Of The Nile sold for GBP 47,500.00 (€ 56,407.07) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 20,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Adam Styka - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work A negotiation, which sold at auction in October 2021 for GBP 137,750.00 (€ 163,196.55).

Dieses Kunstwerk von Adam Styka erzielte im April 2017 bei Sothebys in London einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion The Orientalist Sale wurde die Arbeit Polish on The Banks Of The Nile für GBP 47.500,00 (€ 56.407,07) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 20.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Adam Styka mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit A negotiation beobachtet, die im Oktober 2021 für GBP 137.750,00 (€ 163.196,55) versteigert wurde.
